Aromatherapy is rapidly gaining popularity! The use of essential oils is an excellent way of adding value and uniqueness to any healing arts practice, whether it be Massage Therapy, Reiki or any other kind of energy work, Psychotherapy, Hospice care, Long Term and Assisted Living facilities just to name a few. Research on essential oils is being conducted worldwide with some startling and amazing results. We keep up-to-date on and incorporate new information into all of our classes. Come and learn about some of Mother Nature’s most extraordinary gifts that can soothe body, mind and spirit simultaneously!
The Level 1 class is a pre-requisite for all other classes. After taking Level 1 we recommend you take the classes in the order listed below. However, you can take Levels 2 through 5 in any sequence you desire. Level 6 must be the final class taken in this series.
In each class you will experience many essential oils. So that you and your classmates may experience these oils to the fullest, we ask that you do NOT wear ANY scented products to class.
Level 1 . . . Introduction To The Aromatic World
This foundation level will introduce the basics of holistic aromatherapy; history; recent research; production of essential oils, general properties, quality and purity; basic methods of application; physical effects of essential oils and pathways through the body; and the safe and effective use of this modality. A 50 plus page notebook and 4 sample oils are also provided, as well as 1 hour free consultation time with Cynthia Loving. You also get the opportunity to repeat this class at no charge, as often as you like (on a space available basis)
Additional Information:
This program does involve home study. Learners are required to conduct research into essential oils, perform and document case studies, and read handouts and outside materials.
Continuing Education Credits for Massage and Bodywork Therapists:
Each 2 day class offers 14 Continuing Education Hours to Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapists through NCBTMB (CE Provider #280770-00).
“LovingScents” is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider”
Certification:
Upon successful completion of this series of 6 classes, the learner who has met all the required criteria will receive a Certificate stating this graduate has successfully completed 100 hours of training and is now recognized as a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist.
We are a fully furnished massage school facility and provide Oakworks massage tables, linens, class tables, and computer/projector for overhead presentations.
